ISER CONNE

Iser Conne's band members consist of an unlikely pair, brought together by similar aesthetic; Haloethl for vocals and Venxian on guitars. Together, they blend alternative vocal and guitar elements with an evolving dark art aesthetic.

Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Venxian is a composer and bassist with a background in progressive rock, hard rock, noise music, and experimental music. Haloethl, from the US, in turn offers her influences (which include Interpol and Tool, among others) as well as her songwriting, which was born from strumming acoustic in a Tokyo apartment.

DEBUTTRACK RELEASE - LEAK -

"Leak" marks the first major release from Iser Conne (pronounced “eye-zer-kon”), presenting the audience with a taste for what's to come in the alternative scene; an edgy rock track, highly polished (after a rough smoothing), pounding adrenaline in all the right places.

What begins as a playful exploration of darker nature, revealing itself in drips, proceeds to seep further into the wounds of their afflicted personality. Gone is the confidence of the track’s opening lyrics, an invitation of danger and playtime, that created a sense of being in control (“There’s this place I’d like to try”); realizing their desperate, increasingly mortal form “I don’t know where I am, don’t know how it fits, but the stuff keeps leaking out, and it’s making a mess..”), things turn ugly. Was it internal, a projection of their condition? Or did the dire state of their physical condition spill into the surrounding environment, awakening the presence of something darker?
